Hi, my name is
Bibas Pokhrel.
I engineer water's future.
I'm a Water Resource Engineer specializing in hydroinformatics, flood modeling, and sustainable water management. I leverage data, technology, and first-principles to solve complex water challenges and build resilient systems for a changing world.
About Me
Hi, I am a Civil Engineer (NEC Registered) driven by a passion for understanding and managing our most critical resource: water. At present, I am contributing to the digitization in the AEC industry, served as the GIS Expert in the largest potable water supply distribution project of Nepal. When I'm not working, I love to explore GIS, BIM, programming, and IoT, as I see their potential on transforming the way we operate in the AEC industry. My journey began at Tribhuvan University (IOE), Nepal and has evolved into a career dedicated to the intersection of traditional civil engineering and modern technology.
I believe the future of water resource management lies in the intelligent integration of systems. My core philosophy revolves around using IoT, GIS, AI, and Remote Sensing to create predictive models, optimize infrastructure, and provide clear, actionable insights for decision-makers. Whether it's mapping floodplains with HEC-RAS or developing real-time monitoring dashboards, my goal is to transform raw data into resilient solutions.
Beyond engineering, I'm an avid learner, always exploring new technologies and their potential applications. I find inspiration in complex systems, both natural and man-made.
